Military Counseling Services I Offer
The military lifestyle is a hard one, and not just for the military member. Between deployments, hardship tours, TDYs, and long hours, it’s enough to tear a family apart. As hard as the military life is on the military member, the family must be considered also. Military counseling is one of my specialties.
Sometimes you just need someone who understands how the military operates and what you are going through. I have been in two branches, deployed, been on a hardship tour, and have 15 years experience as well as currently being a retired vet. I get it. Let me help you
Deployments and Other Military Separations
When a military member deploys, life changes for them as well as for the family they leave behind. The member may be sent to a country they have never been to before. They face the constant threat of death. The days are long and sometimes the nights. Meanwhile the family awaits the return of their Soldier, running the house and trying to live as normal a life as possible. Sometimes the spouse left behind has to take care of tasks their Soldier normally took care of. Any kids have to get used to mommy or daddy not being there for a year or so and only being able to talk to their missing parent on the phone or Skype.
There is a lot to prepare for when informed you are being deployed. There are people to contact and things to pack as well as time to spend with loved ones. While you are deployed the family left behind may have questions or fears that need to be addressed. And after a joyful reunion when the deployment is done, there is a serious readjustment period everyone goes through. Things have changed.
Let me help you sort those things out.

Permanent Change of Station
Moving is one of the most difficult things a family can do. There is packing and other issues that crop up while trying to go to your next (or first!) duty station. Or maybe you just got to your new duty station and need some guidance. A new duty station can be a daunting prospect. Giving yourself and your family an outlet for fears and frustrations can help ease your mind.
Let me help you make the most of your move.
Retirement and Transition
It can be difficult to leave the military life for an old, but unfamiliar civilian life. You were a civilian once, you can do it again. But things have changed. You have a different outlook. You may be confused by your benefits or how your med board and VA benefits work.
I have experienced the same thing. Let me help you back into a new civilian life.
